Background

ReBorn

For my Industry Design Project (IDP), I worked with a startup company, where a group of 3 including myself designed and prototyped version 2.0 of their religous app and website. The project took us 4 weeks (~40 hours) to complete.

Christians need engaging and collaborative ways of staying motivated to pray between church gatherings so that they can witness the impact of their prayers and intercessions.

Business Goals

Role

Create the opportunity for the app users to also stay engaged and collaborate using the website.

Update the UI Design of 1.0 and Include new features for the 2.0 update release:

Chatbot - A conversational AI bot that provides personalised response to questions from the bible for the faith based app - Reborn

Onboarding - Setting Prayer goals for the user after creating an account.

I had the opportunity to work as a UI/UX Designer with a diverse team stretching across the United States. My team members included two UX Designers (Julia Yuewei and Rotem Willman) and international stakeholder (Ayobola Adedayo). We Focused on providing a wireframe and ui design for the web app version and 2 new app features for the 2.0 release version.

Flowchart

The basic user flowchart is similar to the mobile app, However I wanted to keep the heavy lifting to the mobile app. In the Web app version, we wanted to allow the user to be able to view prayers, religous groups, listen to gospel instrumentals and view their church profile.

Takeaways & Learning

Working with a diverse team remotely and an international stakeholder was an amazing learning experience. Some of the challanges that we encountered was communication due to our time zones and another was being able to quickly produce the necessary design assets given the short ammount of time we had.
