Audio Digest
Designed the UX architecture and scalable design system for a CME platform managing 4,000+ catalog items and delivering 1M+ CME credits annually.
01 - CONTEXT
Audio Digest
I designed the UX architecture, interface system, and membership experiences for Audio Digest, a continuing medical education platform serving healthcare professionals across multiple specialties.
My role included creating UX wireframes, defining the design system, establishing reusable UI components, and configuring production pages within Sitecore. I also worked on specialty-specific membership and add-to-cart experiences, helping connect the design system to the platform’s commerce and CMS framework.

02 - CHALLENGE
Complexity at Scale
Audio Digest needed a more consistent and scalable digital experience across a large catalog of educational content, memberships, and medical specialties.
Users needed to quickly understand membership options, find relevant CME/CE content, evaluate benefits, and move clearly toward purchase, while internal teams needed reusable patterns that could support thousands of catalog items without redesigning each page independently.
The challenge was to create a flexible UX and interface system that could support content discovery, membership conversion, and ongoing Sitecore management within the platform’s existing responsive framework.
03 - APPROACH
From Structure to System
I created the UX wireframes and page structures for key Audio Digest experiences, establishing content hierarchy, navigation, CTA placement, membership flows, and reusable page patterns.
I also developed the Audio Digest interface system, including typography, color tokens, buttons, cards, dropdown menus, iconography, and reusable components.
Because of my development and CMS experience, I worked directly within Sitecore to configure pages, manage specialty-specific membership content, and create add-to-cart experiences. Since the platform already used an established responsive framework, I designed within those predefined responsive behaviors rather than creating separate tablet and mobile comps for every page.
04 - PROCESS
Defining the Experience Through UX Wireframes
I created wireframes for key areas of the Audio Digest platform to establish information hierarchy, navigation, membership pathways, content discovery, and digital learning interactions before applying the visual interface system. Rather than treating each page independently, I identified recurring structures that could translate into reusable components within the Sitecore framework.
05 - DESIGN SYSTEM
Building a Scalable UI Foundation
I created a reusable UI design system to translate the UX framework into a consistent visual language across the Audio Digest platform.
The system defined typography, color, buttons, cards, dropdown menus, iconography, interface components, and reusable design tokens that could be applied across membership, specialty, educational content, and commerce experiences.
By establishing consistent component patterns, interaction behaviors, and visual rules, the system helped reduce one-off design decisions, maintain cohesion across the product, and provide a scalable foundation for implementation within Sitecore.
06 - SOLUTION
A Unified CME Experience
I created a reusable UX and design-system framework that brought greater consistency across Audio Digest’s membership, specialty, educational content, and commerce experiences.
The system created clearer pathways for users to explore membership options, understand benefits, discover relevant content, and complete purchases, while reusable components made it easier to scale the experience across specialties and products.
By connecting the design system directly to Sitecore implementation and the responsive framework, the solution supported a large digital content ecosystem while remaining practical to maintain, expand, and manage in production.

The work helped establish a scalable digital experience for Audio Digest across membership, specialty, educational content, and commerce experiences.
Reusable UX patterns, a consistent interface system, and Sitecore-managed components provided a foundation capable of supporting a large and continuously evolving content catalog.

Establishing clear structure early through wireframes helped simplify complex user flows before moving into high-fidelity UI.
